The Criminal Intelligence Bureau has insufficient evidence to charge WAI, so they free him. KWOK’s investigation of WAH is terminated due to his sensitive relationship with WAH. KWOK informs TUNG that the case has been handed over to inspector CHUNG CHI WING and he should ask RITA for help if he needs it. TUNG is annoyed with KWOK’s decision. GENTING thinks that WAI and PANG WAI are dating, so he kidnaps her to blackmail WAI to kill WAH. RITA finds out that KWAN is in fact HAU MAN HO, a fugitive whom the Hong Kong Police wanted many years ago. KWOK tries to find out the truth from WAH.
