11th April, 2004. TUNG is granted a delay from going on trial in Thailand. The police are puzzled and demand an explanation from RITA. SHING and some other colleagues from the Regional Crime Unit feel sorry for WAI and agree to help him to set fire to the evidence room. SHING wants to move the documents from the room and replaces them with some redundant files. VINCENT interrogates TUNG as to why he revealed his identity to RITA. TUNG argues that he was forced to do so in order to save himself. VINCENT asks about his progress in finding WAH’s insider. He suspects that PEI, who is a former police officer, tells WAH everything about the police procedures. WAH orders WAI to steal an old file from the evidence room before he sets fire to it. Apparently, the file is HO’s criminal record. WAI reports a fire in the evidence room. The fire department finds the fire suspicious. YAN calls PANG WAI for help.
