26th April, 2004. In order to extradite KWAN to Hong Kong, VINCENT and YEUNG try to convince the press that YEUNG has been shot dead. WAH is in critical condition and is being rescued. TUNG tells KWAN that SAM has shot YEUNG dead. KWAN is very nervous. He appoints a lawyer to try to bail SAM out, but VINCENT turns down their request. KWAN intends to go back to Hong Kong to rescue SAM. WAI visits WAH when his condition stabilises. He asks him not to charge PANG WAI. WAH orders WAI to kill SAM in exchange, which puts WAI in an awkward position. TUNG finds out by chance that KEI is in Thailand. Although he is delighted, he dares not meet her. WUI tries to persuade KWAN not to go back to Hong Kong, but KWAN is determined to do so for SAM. WAI has to kill SAM to save PANG WAI. KWAN suddenly hears about SAM’s death just before he is prepared to get on the plane.
