Those trapped in the cave decide to accept the offer to end their lives, rather than be slaughtered by the enemies. Miltos escapes, finds Iphigenia and a French officer helps them escape. At the port, Iphigenia and the boy enter the ship, while Miltos is arrested and taken to execution.
