Overview
Gangadhar Rao seeks the blessings of Tatya Dixit, before going to his chamber to meet Laxmibai. A priest tells the Prime Minister that Tatya Dixit's calculation regarding the auspicious time for the consummation of Gangadhar and Laxmibai's marriage is wrong and could cause disaster. Sakhubai, Jankibai and Lacho are delighted. Unaware of these happenings, Laxmibai shows reluctance in getting intimate to Gangadhar, claiming that she is not mentally prepared yet. Tatya Dixit feels offended at the priest's allegation and decided to demand justice from the king. Gangadhar understands Laxmibai's situation and supports her. Laxmibai accompanies him to the court. Gangadhar is surprised to see Tatya Dixit demanding justice. The priest reveals that Tatya Dixit miscalculated because he had referred to an old almanac. Sakhubai instantly says that if Gangadhar had consummated the marriage, he would've died.
