Tatya Dixit confesses his crime to Raghunath and the Prime Minister, and says that Gangadhar and Laxmibai are in danger. However, he passes out before telling the names of the conspirators. Raghunath and the Prime Minister set out with troops to find the king and queen. Meanwhile, Gangadhar and Laxmibai take refuge in an abandoned temple. Gangadhar thanks Laxmibai for saving his life innumerable times. Gangadhar and Laxmibai finally consummate their marriage as Raghunath, the Prime Minister and their men battle Malcolm's soldiers bravely outside the temple. Raghunath and the Prime Minister get badly injured and collapse. Meanwhile, Malcolm, seething with rage over his failure to kill Gangadhar and Laxmibai, decides to burn their palace.
