Moropant is dumbfounded seeing the portrait. He can't believe that the artist has sketched the portrait of Bhagirathi, his deceased first wife and Laxmibai's mother. When Moropant refuses to believe her, Laxmibai shows him her anklets that the lady had given her. Moropant, Gangadhar and Laxmibai are surprised at this divine happening. Indu pays a surprise visit to Laxmibai with her little son, Siddesh. Siddesh becomes the object of Laxmibai's affection. Gangadhar is pleased and wonders when Laxmibai will have a child of her own.
