Laxmibai wants to file an appeal in the court. The officer says that it is impossible as a lot of signatures would be required to file the appeal. At the palace, an Indian guard of the British jail comes to meet Laxmibai. He tells Laxmibai that the prisoners are ready to rise against the British. Laxmibai disguises as a soldier and meets Fateh Khan. Laxmibai inspires him to revolt against the British. Fateh Khan tells her that Kundan had told him how he had stolen the pendant from Samar Singh which he sold to Nelson. Nelson killed Captain Ross and kept the pendant in the dead body's hand. Laxmibai drafts a letter of appeal to pardon Samar and gets all the prisoners to sign the letter. The officer tells Lang and Laxmibai to wait till nine thirty am as that is when the court opens. Nelson comes to know of this and prepones Samar Singh's hanging. Laxmibai gets the stay order and rushes to the prison. Laxmibai is shocked to know that Nelson has already left to get Samar Singh executed.
