Laxmibai tells Nelson that he can try to defeat the contestants at the chess tournament. Gangadhar tells Laxmibai that he believes that she will be the one who gives Jhansi an heir. Laxmibai tells Gangadhar to be extra careful at the chess tournament. She tells Gangadhar that she wants to play chess against Nelson. Gangadhar promises Laxmibai that he will give her whatever she wants if she defeats Nelson in chess. Nelson is pleased to see Laxmibai as his opponent. Laxmibai defeats Nelson in the game of chess. Laxmibai reminds Gangadhar of his promise and asks him to marry again.
