A wave of happiness spreads amongst all except for Ganga and Janki Bai. Gangadhar wants to untie the marital knot, but Laxmi Bai objects. Hira Bai supports Gangadhar's decision. Laxmi Bai apologises to an aggrieved Ganga. Laxmi Bai realises that there is a conspiracy against her. Gangadhar wants to enquire about the person behind it.
