The battle begins, and Laxmibai's first line of men fall prey to the deadly arrows used by Ladai Sarkar, so she orders her second line of soldiers to attack the enemy. When Raghunath sees his soldiers dying one by one, he pleads with Laxmibai not to put her life in danger. The Prime Minister too pleads with her. Just then, the bugle is blown, and a triumphant Ladai Sarkar announces that victory was hers today! Laxmibai is devastated to see the dead bodies of her soldiers. As per the conditions laid, Ladai Sarkar orders that Tatya Tope be brought to her to be killed. When the cremation of the soldiers is on, Laxmibai recalls Bandu talking about the fatal arrows.
