A worried Laxmibai sees images of Gangadhar asking Damodar to wait and wonders why he's asking his son to wait. Laxmibai tells Tatya Tope about her nightmare. He assures that she and he would not let any harm befall Jhansi. Meanwhile, Rao Dulajo informs Nelson that only Moropant and Damodar were in the palace. Nelson gives Rao Dulajo a letter for Laxmibai supposedly written by Ellis. When on his way, Ellis sees a veiled woman crying but to his shock, masked men surround him. A fight ensues but Ellis gets hit on the head and he collapses. On the other hand, the British attack the soldiers inside the Jhansi Fort.
