Seeing Yi Lan's devotion to Sum Chi, Ya Sin decides to allow Sum Chi to stay on and pledge his loyalty to Yachi.

When she learns that Yuk Lung is taken ill, Kuan Wah sneaks into the palace to see him. She is caught by Kay Yuk and is driven out.

Sum Hung impersonates as a doctor in order to assassinate Kay Yuk. Failing to get him, Sum Hung grabs the baby and escapes.

Yi Pui Sha uses the walking dead she has trained and starts a riot. Yi Lan and Sum Chi join hands and suppress the riot. Yi Pui Sha ends her own life. After the event, Ya Sin decides to go for peace negotiation with Ming. He orders for the release of Kay Chun and has Sum Chi and Yi Lan escort him back to the Ming court.

Kay Yuk declares that he would step down the throne for his brother. But secretly, he has sent killers to intercept Sum Chi and the others.
