Once SHUI YAN is robbed. By that time, CHAK KOW just passes by and is being robbed also.

CHAK KOW is often neglected by his family. He has a pure character and this strongly attracts SHUI YAN. She often excuses to get close to him.

CHAK KOW is not greedy but in order to curry favor for his family, he pretends to love money very much. However, he often cannot meet his mother's requirement and becomes very self-abased.

After graduation, CHAK KOW searches for a job but is not successful. He likes computing very much but this not encouraged by his family.

KEI KIU requests CHAK KOW to obtain money for his share in the speculation in real estate agency. But he feels very frustrated for not able to get enough money. SHUI YAN gives her mother's inherit ant money to him but he refuses to accept.
