Overview
At the celebratory banquet in the water stockade, CHEUNG PO-TSAI proposes marriage to TAI-MUI, who turns him down. On the other hand, LAI GONG GONG receives the military report drafted by YEE-TAI, stating the failure of MAN-HO's troops in battling the pirates. With the Crown Prince going to have a word with Emperor JIAQING face-to-face due to an emergency, Lady YIM has to leave and wait outside of the room, during which TUNG-SUET notices that Lady YIM feels nauseous and is about to vomit. It turns out that Lady YIM is pregnant with the Emperor's child but she deliberately keeps a low profile. Knowing his days are numbered, the Crown Prince sincerely hopes that Emperor JIAQING would strip him of his crown as heir to the throne, and find another suitable successor so as to avoid the fratricidal bloodshed.… ...
