Episode 1 - S1.E1

Tamiko Narisawa (Yuko Natori), a waitress at the ryotei restaurant Hosenkaku, is tired of living with her former gangster husband Kanji (Renji Ishibashi), who is paralyzed. Tamiko becomes friendly with Kotaki (Tsutomu Yamazaki), a hotel manager and a guest at the ryotei, and at his instruction, sets fire to their house and kills her husband. Detective Hisatsune (Shiro Ito) becomes suspicious of this incident and goes on a mission to inquire about the case. Tamiko escapes Hisatsune's pursuit at the behest of Kotaki, and begins to live at the mansion as the caretaker of Kota Kito (Akira Nishimura), the reigning political and financial mastermind.
