Mother of the Year - S1.E14 - The Courtship of Eddie's Father
The mothers of the children in Eddie's class are throwing a surprise party for Miss Lister (Pamela Peadon), who is expecting a baby soon. Eddie's friends tell him everyone is supposed to bring something their mothers made for the party. He is dejected, feeling left out that he doesn't have a mother. A solemn Eddie writes Miss Lister a letter saying since he doesn't have a mother all he can offer as a gift is his father.
