Court Lady Han orders JangGeum to cook bean paste soup to serve King JoongJong. The King is very satisfied with the dish. Court Lady Jung explains to King JoongJong that the reason for sauces turning sour is because of pollen, which intrigues him. The King praises Court Lady Han and JangGeum. JangGeum visits Jung, WonBaek at DaJaeHun for a pulse diagnosis. JangGeum explains her situation and begs Jung to apply acupuncture on her using bee stings but Jung refuses to do so.
