When KEUNG gets home, he is surprised to find that SUM is holding a ruby ring. In fact it is a ring given to SUM by her deceased husband. SUM mentions that both rings are stemmed from the same stone. As to claim the matter, SUM has to endure the pain and hand over her own ruby. KEUNG and MAN go back to the office at night to look for the ruby but it is in vain. KEUNG reveals the truth to MAN as he cannot bear to see that SUM is being mistaken by MAN and his wife… MAN suddenly receives a call from his wife and KIU claims that she has promised MR LAI on his behalf to accept the new job. MAN discloses the truth to his wife but KIU thinks that it is only a subterfuge SUM has used… SUM bumps into KIU and returns the assignment of equity to KIU.
