CHI borrows money from YUNG again. She and CHEONG plan for another plot for HEI’s family. MAU and his wife HA think that HEI’s family is not decent people and object to CHI going out with her. CHI begs YUNG to help HEI and she finally reveals her true plan. She humiliates HEI in public. HEI is very upset and suggests breaking up with CHI. YUNG wants to pull CHI and KEI together and pleases KEI. KEI finds some love letters from HEI to CHI. She reads them without permission. YUNG plans to send CHI abroad to prevent him from getting back with HEI. CHI protests with a hunger strike. MAU begs YUNG to let CHI stay, but fails. HEI meets KEI when she is looking for CHI.
