Episode 5 - S3.E5

Doctors face an unusual case which leads to a diagnosis no-one expected. A young boy is rushed into children’s A&E covered in an angry rash. Meningitis is ruled out and the medical team work tirelessly to figure out what’s wrong. Suspicion turns to a particular disease so rare that most of the doctors have never seen it before. If they’re right, swift action is needed to protect the young patient’s heart. On the children’s ward, a young girl comes in after accidentally swallowing a split pin at school. Staff must decide whether to intervene or if it’s safe to let nature run its course. And it’s an important day for a girl who previously suffered an allergic reaction to peanuts. Series filmed pre-Covid.
