The Announcement - S1.E30

After Roberto’s marriage proposal, Emma’s feelings are mixed. On one hand, she is very happy! On the other hand, she is panicked… With the advice of Sarah and Petros and under Roberto’s pressure, Emma makes the biggest decision of her life: to announce to everyone her relationship with Roberto. Everything is ready for the big night, and while everyone is gathered and waiting to hear what Emma has to say, the door opens and Petros announces a fact that falls like a thunderbolt! Roberto’s conscription papers have arrived, and he has to leave for military service in a few days! The news shocks everyone, especially Emma, who is devastated by the thought of being separated from Roberto. The announcement she had prepared suddenly feels insignificant in the face of this new reality. Roberto, however, remains calm and assures Emma that they will find a way to make it work. He promises to come back to her as soon as he can, and they share a tearful goodbye.
