Bernard’s scheme sees Temur falsely denying shooting Karategin, leaving the beys indecisive and not uniting with either side. This disunity weakens the Zengis and allows Bernard to make a move on Gaza. Saladin must convince the beys to stay unified and take action against Jerusalem.
