PC Sheelagh Murphy turns to her Catholic faith for guidance after her son Conor's announcement that he is gay, but the Church is not very helpful to her. She then asks PC Lance Powell for advice, but he tells her it's up to her to sort things out with her son. Murphy and Powell deal with a domestic violence case between two gay men, but when they hand the case on to CSU, DS Phil Hunter convinces the victim not to proceed. When Conor doesn't come home, Sheelagh accompanies Lance and Mark on a night out at a gay club to find him, and they witness the domestic violence first hand.
