Ngo sold her house and Sheng tried to persuade her to move in with him. Since she could not find a suitable place to rent, Ngo agreed though she was still afraid of being gossiped. Mon got the key finally and went to take the precious jewelry from the safe. Suddenly, Sing appeared and snatched them from her. He also held her hostage. During the confusion, Ngo’s partner Fred was killed. The police finally managed to save Mon and Sing got away. Though Mon was injured, she still refused to tell the truth.

Sheng held a celebration the day Ngo moved in with him, but she was not the least happy as she was still grieving over Fred’s death.

Yuen and Feng often quarreled over business and Yuen blamed Feng for not recommending her for promotion. Feng told her that she was too impulsive and was not ready for the promotion. Yuen didn’t understand and requested for an immediate transfer.
