The series chronicles the true story of the audacious 2005 theft of Judy Garland's iconic ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz. This particular pair was on loan from private collector Michael Shaw and displayed at the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. The theft was sensational: a window was smashed, a Plexiglas case broken, and only the slippers (and a single red sequin) were taken.
