It’s difficult to separate truth from lies, friends from enemies. A peaceful village is ironically full of hidden dangers! SHUI NING (TANG LAI MING, JOYCE) does not understand why her father SHUI WAI CHOI (KWOK FUNG) has always had such a deep love for the village in which he was brought up. When the news comes through that CHOI has suddenly disappeared from the village, NING is astonished and filled with fear. She believes the case is not as straightforward as it seems, and so she appeals to her boyfriend LAU HO FAT (KWOK YIU MING, MARK), who works as a senior police inspector, for help in conducting further investigation. NING does not get on with the village representative CHING NAI HOI (MA TAK CHUNG, JOE) and they bicker constantly, as if there is a bitter feud between them. A series of accidents befall NING during the investigation, but with HOI around, she is safe from all danger. Gradually, NING has developed a great admiration for HOI….
